The iWash™ System is an integrated system using the iWash™ Control Box to allow users to wash and dry mirrors, windshields, cameras, sensors, etc. either manually or automatically. With minimal wiring, the iWash™ System is not only able to wash & dry components, but also monitor fluid levels using mobile app, telematics or cloud options for control.

How it Works
Critical sensors and cameras must be maintained as vehicles are underway (especially autonomous vehicles). A fluid and air jet mixture is used to clean the mirrors, sensors, cameras, etc. and air-only is used to dry the components. Optical sensors, such as LiDAR, may be used to determine if debris needs clearing automatically. Bluetooth/Wifi wireless connectivity from the iWash™ Control Box to a mobile device allows the user to automatically configure cleaning intervals and also allows manual activation of the cleaning system remotely. A heating coil could be integrated into the iWash™ Control Box to further improve system effectiveness.
Applications
The iWash™ System has many applications not only for the heavy truck industry, but also for the light truck industry, commercial/passenger vehicles, as well as, autonomous vehicles. The iWash™ System can be used to clean and dry exterior mirrors during inclement weather conditions so that driver visibility is maintained for safety. The system can be used to self-clean high-mounted cameras on semi-truck trailers and tall vehicles, such as garbage trucks, RV's, city/school buses, etc. The iWash™ System can also be used to detect and clean dirt on cameras and sensors on Autonomous vehicles.
